  1. Tbh they are pretty much all the same functionally. Size varies, so find a small one with a long battery replacement interval. I’d be very happy with an ACR or a McMurdo (which is what I use).
  2. Unfortunately I'm snookered for weekends in July, but West Bay is my home port, so if you need any help picking the fish-fests from the barren hunks of steel out there, just drop me a PM or call. Gibel Hamam is often a decent shout, only 8 miles from the slip, but it is on EVERYBODY's route out to the deeper wrecks. Consequently it sees and swallows lots of RedGills. Duncan
  3. +1 for the 175 and I exchanged PMs with Mick a couple of days ago with the details (fuel tank recall etc). I've no personal experience of the MF, but I can see that windage may be an issue on such a small boat. The other possible choice to take a look at during the show is the Raider, now it's manufactured by Phil at Warrior. Personally though I still much prefer the 175. Duncan
  4. How big are they in the valise Steve? Might be just the job for my Warrior 175. Duncan
  5. Launched from the slip there dozens of times. Never been in the aquarium! Better put that right - thanks for the recommendation. Duncan
  6. Clone bucket seats are also now available from a guy on the Warrior owners FB group. He's done re-upholstery for a while, good quality and quite a number of the guys very pleased. Now he is offering full seats. Assume you aren't referring to the lack of a rear bench seat here? Duncan
  7. Mike just a quick note about LPG... I completely agree Camping Gaz is a ridiculous price, both for bottles and refills, compared with Calor. In fact the prices just went up even more this week, so a 907 will likely be £33-34 per fill from now on. [emoji35][emoji35] But do bear in mind Calor is Uk only, whereas CGaz is available across Europe. So if you'll use more than 9kg for an extended cruising trip, stick that old regulator and bottle in the shed for a while... you may yet use it. Duncan
  8. Pollack stuffed full of sprats... or ring netted ? Not sure about the egg whisk Rob.
  9. Happy birthday chaps [emoji846]
  10. Not ours Mike, a bareboat charter from Grenada up to Bequia & back. Great couple of weeks, flying back tomorrow [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Quick update on the teak testing I did for you this week in the Caribbean Mike. Tuna (2 samples), barracuda and Jack blood all easily removed with sea water. Dorado not sure [emoji41]
  12. I was in France last week, at a huge Carrefour hypermarket. Their fish counter was stuffed to bursting with prime Bass in all sizes, including a sickening number of fish around 8-12lbs. Far more bass than any other species. I was in Antibes on the Med coast, but I'm in no doubt where those fish were caught :-(.
  13. Absolutely Jim, they've done their best with an unfortunate situation. Most boats checked and / or modified now I believe.
  14. Thanks Rob - although Brian's right to post this, to raise awareness, it is several months old. The new manual simply identifies the need to effectively seal the transom hatch with PU sealant if it's removed. Some 175s have suffered galvanic corrosion of the built-in alloy fuel tank due to these inspection hatches leaking after being removed. Warrior has been offering a free check & tank housing upgrade for the last year. Mine has been done & all owners contacted if they bought their boats direct. The bulletin is to sweep up any second hand sales.
  15. I doubt the jellyfish enjoyed it that much...
