The new spot is totaly new to us ,no one was more supprised than us with the number of Bass we caught , we had 8 and missed several more Kevs got his old boat back for 3 weeks as the guy he sold it to, at his works has gone on holiday.

What ever the weather their will be fishing in the lee of Portland and i would guess that with no dive activity on the hood a few more congers must be in residence now

Popping in for Diesel around mid oct with kevs new toy planing to make a couple of days bringing it back so as we can do some fishing

Hi I only ever used a shock leader with braid when drifting other than that if it is just downtide fishing i dont bother and have had no problems to date, every now and again cutting the last foot off the braid .

Hi Paul if you are ever in that position again (God forbid ) give them some of your bait as a passing jesture ,far better than any form of language, and it may make them more observent in future.

Hi I have every confidence in my Plotter but i do kill all unnesasary lights and as mike says i use the MK 1 eyeball , it certainly pays to have good knowledge of your way home and often go out at night on my own although not lately On another note ,these big powerful lights only last for about 20 mins unless you can run them off your battery
