It was a little bit of a quick change I had been booked on a charter trip from lymington on sunday but was cancelled late on friday due to the wind So a good look at the weather decided to fish Andys flounder comp quick call to Jim (small fry) and a couple of the lads i was going to fish with on the charter trip were all up for it decided to fish holes bay quick dash from cobbs tied on to mooring bouy it was a bit slow as we had missed most of the run up but we managed 4 bass biggest about 2lb plus 3 flounders 2 were about a 1lb the other 1 which fell to paul weighed in at 2lb 15oz which won first prize so it was good for a change and i got jim to do the washing up ! good day out with good company Cheers Dave

Early start down at cobbs by 6am after picking jim on route Under the bridge at 6.30 of we go quick call to Charlie to confirm what area we would be fishing We get to the first wreck with quite a swell still running after the second atempt got the anchor to hold only managed a couple of tope and a few pout but it was jims first so that was good quick re anchor as the tide starts to ebb but nothing else so we moved in closer to try for some whiting where we had loads of dog fish scad a nice undulate ray that fell to Phils rod and the last drop of the day the first winter whiting back to Poole to get the 4.30 bridge where we met criag on Abode 11 and neil on court jester good day out thanks to Charlie and crew for keeping in contact cheers Dave

I agree we also fished both comps jim & myself also 2 non members Lee & Paul We headed west it started ok got a few dogfish Jim then got a spotted ray 3lb 10oz then the wind beat the tide so it went dead re anchored Paul & Lee started to get some bream upto 1lb but still no bream for Jim & i the tide started to rip past so a quick move a little closer in for the last hour Lee was the first in a bream of 2lb 5oz then Paul got a cracker 3lb 8 1/4 oz which was the 2nd heavest in the poole dolphins comp a slow day but a good day Dave

Dave Evans & Jim Davies will also be fishing
