    Which Rod?

That's what i meant to say- i stand up corrected Paul J
  2. Mike, Good letter, i think the site will be the most problematic obstacle. Just to give you a little background, the PDSA proposed a site at lake pier about a year ago. The response was in essence - Too close too a site of special interest so a full impact survey would have to be done up front which made it too costly. I think it's worth plugging away especially on the back of any plans they may be/should be making in preparation for the olympics. Trouble is i can't think of where one could go cheers Paul J

Bob, Here another one for you I have a Lowrance 3300c, a garminn 250c fishfinder and a garmin vhf, i have connected them all up. plotter and vhf no problem. Garnim 250 shows gps position - communication this way is fine but the Lowrance wont accept a marked position sent from the garmin. It is supposed to allow you to send marks to the gps. any ideas? i have only joined up the wires and not used a seperate bus connection. Cheers Paul
  7. Bob, i like the reversable seat option if you hinged the lid it could store anything Paul J

    Which Rod?

AKam, A longer rod lets you cast better You can move more line for each sweep of the rod, better action for feathers, lures pirks and jigs. it also allows better striking action where required, the more line you can move the faster the hookset. You have more control over your line, eg on a crowded charter boat you can keep out of the way of tangles easier. A shorter rod has more leverage against a hard fighting fish thats holding deep and straight down. This can be really hard work on a long rod. A thru action rod is softer and has a cushioning action, it generally bends all the way down to the handle on a bigger fish. A fast taper is more meaty in the midlle and wont generally bend further than this section. you need a fast or medium taper if you going to strike at fish like bream where you need to be quick. hope this helps Paul J
  9. Tom, A couple of things after my 1 minutes viewing Make the headings bigger and bolder- make it more obvious they are links Add a pop up map in "where are we" A couple of fishing photo's would not hurt at all, looks like your not looking to sell to fisherman at all ( probably cause were all skint) a click to enlarge photo option would be good Thats my two-pence worth Cheers Paul J

  24. I do like the look of the White shark and would look at the canvas options to see if it suits you Paul J
  25. I use a TDX 12-30 and a Penn gls 25 for most of my fishing. one of the multi tip rods may cover more options eg: you hardly ever have to use a 50lb rod but if you have this size tip available then you save buying an extra rod. i don't have one but it seems like a good idea when your starting your collection Paul J
