Well it's taken me a year to get the name put on the Boat! I found this link via Ebay it is was no hassle and a good speedy service. I screwed up with one of the letters and they sent me a replacement free of charge I would recommend them, if you need graphics boat names The only downside is that i have to behave myself now that people will recognise me Paul J

i poked my nose out to the Run this morning hoping that i would be a bit better. As the waves were putting on a dramatic show crashing over the bar sending all sorts of white foam everywhere, i decided to go back up river for a spin. I just put on a new prop so wanted to trial it, very nice out of the wind in the calm of the harbour,not for fishing mind. Paul J

I was around xray/southbourne to no effect one conger of about 30lb and then just pout and doggies. It was dodgy going through thr run, i made it out fine about 7:am but Stringray got grounded. With out power tilt i couldn't get close enough to help him and with the tide streaming out it would have been dangerous, hope he made it out ok? Coming back in there were a few rollers to surf over the bar on! Enjoyable day out, but not a good fish day Paul J

Consider making a brick one, crude but works if you get the right level of heat/smoke. i used to have a kettle type which had a water pan suspended over the coals. This helped reduce the heat and mixed steam with the smoke. This became self basting and could be mixed with various wine's or other liquids for additional favour. You could rig one up out of a metal dustbin, a converted metal filing cabinet is another option on the cheap. Paul J
