Same again!, plugged in the repaired fish finder yesterday, unit came on only to go off again immediately, that was a waste of 66 quid! Not the fault of Service Centre I must now get the electrics checked out. The VHF and the chartplotter work OK, very odd. To top it all off we have now got a lot of water coming into the hull on the boat through a crack in the hull where the rollers on the trailer sit. I have put a new post on hoping someone knows a man who can fix it?

I have an Eagle FishMark 500c that will not turn on, checked the power to the unit all seems OK. Has been working fine until this weekend. Can anyone recommend a service or repair centre, Navico said send it in and they will part-exchange it, but I would rather have someone look at it first, credit crunch tactics! thanks Mick

I am hoping to get out Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning depending on the weather, launching from Wick. I have frozen squid and frozen mackerel, what and where would be my best bet for a bream or bass (or anything else to be honest!). I have purchased a couple of bream rigs from Ian at moonfleet and hope to give them a try. thanks, Mick

Doh! Easytide actually said 0739 first low water, still 45 mins difference though

Hi Guys I have a tide table book from Davies Tackle. Looking on the net I also use Easytide, and today I looked up tide times from the BBC and Wileys. They all seem to differ, take todays first low water... Davies said 0825 and easytide said 0623, high water with Davies 1510 and easytide 1615, In your opinion which is more accurate, with the bar at the entrance being a bit critical I have a 'need to know' feeling!

Hi chaps I see that a lot of you put the female bream back and keep the males for eating, sounds a very sensible idea. How do you tell the difference between them? Hope to get my boat down to the coast later this week and have a go for the bream, launching at Christchurch, any tips of where and at what state of the tide is best at the moment? thanks Mick

Hi everyone. My name is Mick, I live 'up country' in Rickmansworth and keep my boat and trailer in a friends garden near Christchurch and launch at Christchurch quay. Purchased the boat last April so I am at the bottom of the learning curve so any help and tips will be gratefully received.
