Thanks for the info so far Guys , I have checked out the suggested web sites but unfortunately they have only female or tank end, and Brownspoint postage is too high , as Charlie mention, about making up a short hose, thats the sort of thing I was hoping to do but again unable to trace a suitable connector with the male end. Any other suggestions gratefully recieved or anyone having one in the bottom of the tool box would be happy to pay for. Dave

Hi Guys After your help once again I'm hoping that some one may be able to advise me where I can get hold of the male fuel connector for the DT 50 . I want to replace the one on my auxilary to make it the same as my main engine I have tried the usual suspects but its seems they are only available in the States and the postage is silly money, if any has a spare and would like to sell it I would be most grateful. Thanking you in advance Dave

Surprised we dont have any mechanical experts in the club , however thought I would close this by letting you now that I have managed to strip down the gear box with the aid of a puller and a blow lamp, once I was able to get the case warm the bearing housing slowly started to come out, once out all I had to do was to give it all a good clean and re engage the gear shift. Hi to you all I have just replaced the impeller on the dt50 which all went well until I tried to reconnect the gear linkage. i removed the gearbox again to check the alingment of the gear selector shaft, here comes the problem , I turn the shaft to centralise it, now I have no gears , I have spoken with an outboard dealer Orca Marine and he says I will have to have it stripped down. Does any one have any experience of this sort of thing as like most peaple these days large amounts of free spare cash is not as ready as it used to be. Any help most welcome Thanks Dave

Thanks for all the hard work in compliing these charts, while I agree that can be some iregularities due to some inaccurate reporting , I think this could be a very usefuil tool to help in catching those illusive fish. Would it be possible to download onto the forum as I am unable to get down to the monthly meetings as probably are others Thanks Dave

sorry to hear your bad news, you say you wondered how it happened 2 yours ago I kept my sailing boat there, I had a phone call from mooring officer to say my boat was up on a sand bank. Someone had stolen my mooring for ther own use and let my boat go and drift.sheered tiller and damaged the hull , speaking to some one else also mooring there they had damage too, just wondered if the same **** are up to tricks again. Good luck . Dave

Hi All Happy days had her first outing this year having finally finished restoring her and now running well. I launched from Baiter Wednesday 6/10 just before high tide ( I tried chanel 6 to see if any of you were out but to no avail is that the correct chanel ?) and due to wind ( not mine ) deciced to anchor in front of the castle on Brownsea , with about 6 other boats fishing , didn't seem to be a lot going on in the cathing way, one guy had a couple of mullet and Bass. My question is even though we tried differant methods ie Red Gill and sandeel lures along with crab, lugg, squid. Used a portland rig with a 4-5 ft trace Fish finder was showing fish at a range of depths from 7.5 mtrs. we didn't have so much as tickle. Do you thimk it was just unlucky or can anyone advise of how I can improve for next time, we were out for about 3 hours so fished the last part of the flood followed by 2 hours ebb tide. lovelly sunny day but went home hungry Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks for now Dave

Hi all Finally took 'Happy Days' down to baiter for its maiden voyage after its rebuild, boat went really well getting up to 24 knots which was quite exciting. Didn't manage any fishing just wanted to make sure boat was OK. My question is when I bought the boat it came with two props one alloy, one plastic (ish). both have differant pitch etc but unsure which would be the best. The engine is an old Susuki DT 50 any advice most welcome thanks for looking Dave
