Have to say what a great day we had on Saturday, 21 boats and 76 anglers took part in the Baracuda Tour event from Cobbs Quay. We tried our best on Wishing Too to end up 3rd oh for a Goby. Congratulations to Fred, Pete and Lee. A big thanks for all who took part in this new comp, 5 of the top 6 boats were club boats the one that wasn't had two ex world champions and an ex England international on it but not a local skipper, just goes to show how important a good skipper with local knowledge is. Have to say thanks to the Marlin Master (Chris) when I decided I didn't want to stand up any more and ended up on my arse lying on the deck with my £300 rod and reel over the side and sinking fast but Chris's quick thinking saved the day as he lassoed it with his line. So roll on next year, Fred has set the standard.

Entries are now starting to trickle in, currently have 7 boats registered. Lots of talk, yes I'm entering, but I could do with some numbers, so I know how much food to order. The date for the above comp is Saturday 9th July 2016 More info will be out later, put the date in your diary. Club members not berthed at Cobb's Quay Marina can have a complimentary weekend in the marina with full use of the facilities from Friday 8th and Saturday 9th this is for any size boat. Have to say Chris was the perfect skipper and gent to clear out the tope for me. It was hard core day fishing, for a pair of old sea dogs, the trip home was fun and am I going to sleep well tonight. Many thanks Chris for yet another great day out on Kingfisher.
