    e-mail problems

Mine was working fine last night Gordon.
  2. Possibly, but you try working out who to contact now that Penn are K2 are Pure Fishing are..........? It's very confusing!
  3. Hi Guys I'm looking for a sensibly priced, powerful beachcaster. Something that will cope with Tope, BIG stingray and the like from the shore. ...preferably Penn(!) but not essential. Ideally this will be multiplier rung, but fixed spool will be OK too. Tom
  4. Brilliant news guys. Can't wait to see her on her moorings and out at sea!
  5. If that is the same dodgy Dowland that I know so well (actually, even if it's a different one), a big welcome to Poole Bay. May your Bass be big, your Pollack prolific and your Cod cavernous. Hope to get afloat with you sometime soon Andrew. All the best Tom
  6. Have a good birthday Neal.
  7. And at 5lb 8oz that's a huge spotty. At a guess, whilst the 3lb is likely to be a spotty, the bigger one is more likely to be a small Blonde Ray? Well done on getting out and well done on no longer being Codless!
  8. Almost through the first side in one day yesterday. Another side (the smallest ) is coming to my brother's house warming tonight. And the third is coming to the parents for Christmas. It is being very well appreciated! Tom
  9. Drop it down to Paul at Yellow Penguin
  10. Nic semi displacement hull, but it does look like it might prefer a shaft drive over an outdrive and so it could well be weight distribution. I take it you have the leg trimmed right in when you hit the throttle? Tabs may well help you get out of the water a little quicker, but that HP should have no issues getting you up and running. Is the engine definitely getting it's Hp? Tom
  11. Hi Bacon Welcome to Poole Bay. Do you have a picture of your boat? Assuming she is a planing through to semi planing hull then I think you have a more fendamental issue if you are not get up with 130Hp in 21 feet. That's bags of Hp to pop you up and fly you along. Trim tabs may give a marginal boost to get you up, but that is not their purpose. They will give a hell of an improved ride once you learn to use them effectively in different sea conditions. Once again welcome and post a pic we'll see if we can help. Tom
  12. They are giving away space this year Phil. So many manufacturers not there and dealers going bust. Space is going to be very cheap, you should get yourself up there if you aren't already.
  13. What Pete just said and: On arrival I said to Pete I wanted to sit quietly at the back as I was the first to admit to not fully understanding the issues. I couldn't help myself and was soon stuck in as it was very VERY clear that I had a far greater understanding than the fisheries officer. I don't think this says an awful lot as my 6 year old, Natasha, probably has a bit more understanding on fishery managment. I did feel a little sorry for the chap to start with. He was going to get a bit of a kicking and he knew it and his nervous look at the start was telling. The poor guy had given up an evening with his family to be with us and I flt he was due some credit. Until I realised that his job description would involve the odd evening as mine does weekends so stuff it, he was here to do his job. Which he proceeded to do by telling us that running SSFC costs nearly
  14. Phil Just a question: I see in the video that the fuel tank fits perfectly in the little well at the transom. Was this designed for that purpose? Thanks Tom
  15. Thought I recognised the boat in the video and then definitely recognised the chap who was being spot checked. Our very own Matt Sydenham who after being spot checked, oddly turned up at the harbourwatch briefing...
  16. Where is the Broadstone Labour Club and what time is the meeting?
  17. I don't have my money either.....
  18. This is a fairly general post from Ewen. I've been chatting to him via email over the last day or so. Some of you may remember that at the last meeting I mentioned Ewen coming to a meeting to do a reel servicing / repair piece. He "may" be free to come along to our February meeting. Ewen has family down in Swanage and may be visiting in February. I said that we would make him extremely welcome if he came along. Tom PS: Good luck Ewen!
  19. Or Parkstone Bay Marina where you boat remains at a height you can get on and off when you want and is 25 minutes closer to the harbour entrance.
