  1. any common rail engine is very sensitive to fuel quality general consensus from engine manufacturers is an absolute maximum 20% biofuel as it contains water in suspension (also promotes bug)which lowers the lubricity of the fuel which affects the injectors and they are not cheap

  4. during the war !!!!
  5. is not the point more about publishing the pictures as no law was broken the fish are the norm in that area etc but to use that sort of picture to promote angling trips is somewhat counter productive , round here the fisheries officer would count the fish multiply it by the number of anglers and then multiply by days at sea to work out the rsa catch of cod so pictures with several anglers holding multiple fish in each hand are unhelpful

  10. nylon skinfittings below the waterline ! a total no no in my opinion the mca dont even allow them below deck level . i tend where possible to use marelon seacocks to solve the possibility of electrolosis problems , the toilet seacocks on most boats are to far from the anode for them to be effectively protected so electricaly bonding them can be counter productive if there is a electrical fault . i recently changed a set of good quality toilet seacocks that had been in place for 12 yrs un bonded which apart from a tinge of pink were still good (judging by the effort needed to remove them )
  11. we just need to over estimate our fishing related costs and under estimate our catches , whichis the total opposite to the norm

oxalic acid it comes as powder mix with warm water for best result only way to stop the rust is to passivate and polish the back of the rail baseplates and seal with sikaflex

hot off the press .pat carlin has won his case against the southern sea fisheries district committee for fishing inside 6 miles on a vessel over 12 meters.a bit of common sense justice for once the ssfc was given leave to appeal they also have to pick up the bill for all both parties costs .a bit of common sense justice for once

  24. i would expect a minimum 500m exclusion zone during construction with a guard vessel on station 24 / 7
  25. have not fished on them no paul fish are quite rare in a field in holland !!!!! joking aside the fish wont hang around during construction the piling noise is horrendous but once up and running the piles should attract sealife the same as any other structure with the bonus that there wont be any trawlers about
