Great day at the fishing show - weather was perfect and good attendance. Winners on the day were the guys from Johnsons Fish running the fishmonger stall and doing filleting displays - they were super busy, very informative and doing a great trade. Was not able to find out where they got their monster plaice from though!

It's getting to the time of year when boat owners start to think about getting their lifejackets and liferafts serviced. LGS Marine is offering a 10% discount off the final bill for any items booked in for servicing before the end of the year (most makes and models accepted). It is also worth checking the other dated items you have on board (lifejacket and lifebuoy lights, flares, medical packs, hydrostatic releases, etc) as this again is a common time of year for these to expire. Introducing the world’s smallest AIS MOB device with integrated DSC – the rescueME MOB1 from Ocean Signal. The MOB1 is compatible with even the most compact inflatable life-jackets. The MOB1 is intended to be installed within the life-jacket and will activate automatically on inflation, sending the fi rst alert within 15 seconds. The integrated strobe light ensures maximum visibility in low light conditions. The MOB1 communicates with the vessel you have been separated from and other vessels in the vicinity (up to 5 miles range dependent on conditions).
