I get that you are trying to promote juniors to join and have fun, I fully support that Mal because without a next generation, there will be no club! But on the flip side, kids enjoy competition. I'm sorry again Jerry, but that's not a very fair system. I know it's just a bit of fun, but if individuals can only fish on one particular day because of other life commitments (say when maybe the tide is not great etc) and the others can pick and choose then how can that be fair? Understood Martin. However, if you want to drum up participants then the info needs to be released sooner rather than later. You should take a long hard look at the new garmin equipment. The active captain app is great for downloading charts and software updates then Bluetoothing onto the unit. Very easy to read and use too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

A king running comp takes the shine off a day event in my opinion. I'd of thought a one day event where all the kids get to meet and mingle would be a better social for them (and us). A long running comp won't capture the interest of a youngster like a one day winner takes all event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't have any specific ideas, but minimal help from the responsible adult would be good. So that the kids actually learn and practise to do things all for themselves on the day.
