Thanks Jerry, Were planning to head out after work and stay out into dark in the hope of finding some before the wind gathers any momentum. I'll have a look for some holes!!

Afternoon all, I'm planning to head out tomorrow evening after work in the search for a Tope or 2, I have a friend coming that wants to catch one. Only ever caught small ones myself and a couple better fish on charters a few years ago. Couple of questions, Is it best to fish at Anchor? Are live baits preferred or would a nice mackerel flapper work just as well? and now the cheeky one, Anyone care to share a mark or 2 where we might find some success? Thanks in advance Dale

Sadly i didn't get out on the Bream, The weather gods didn't look to be smiling on me, then on Sunday my boy asked if we could go out anyway so only lures on the drift, didn't fancy bobbing about with my boy as he'd soon turn green and given his age i definitely don't want to put him off fishing just yet! He did however manage to bag him self 2 small bass on lures which made his day

Do we need to register for this or does simply stating on this thread to count me in (weather permitting) sufficient?

Rescheduled Specimen Comp 16-17th September
DaleJ replied to jerry.shutter's topic in Competition Talk
In a strange way i'm glad this comp is cancelled as i'd love to partake in one of them but the weather keeps beating me!! I know my boys keen. Fingers crossed we get a re-scheduled date and the weather gods smile on us. -
Evening Trev, where is the boat that you need to move and where are you moving it too?

That’s great news, My son Jack was a little dis-heartened as he thought he wouldn’t get a chance to tow part. 👍🏻

An August extension sounds like a good idea to me, looking at the weather it doesn’t look we’re going to be getting out!!!
-
Seriously hoping to get out next weekend, been blown off every weekend this month, having only a little boat this wind is making things difficult fingers crossed for next weekend!!

That’s very kind of you Mal. I’ll try it to see how it goes, Are you able to bring it to next weeks meeting?
-
Hi Mal, I don't tend to mess about, If I need something I just get on with it 🙂, Time is precious, especially when it comes to fishing I have cancelled it over night as it appears a 7.5KG may be a little overkill. Could you let me know what have kicking about before I get click happy and order something else?
-
That’s not that heavy, my Jack Russell 8kg 😂 need to hold bottom!!
-
Ordered a new 7.5kg Bruce this afternoon, once it’s here I’ll get it sorted and give you a shout Rob. 👍🏻
