Out on a chartered today at 7:30. Steamed over to Atherfield toward south of the island. Sports were few and far between. I have a 35lb eel and my friends had doggies, 2 bull huss to just under 10 lb and pouts. They also missed a number of bites or lost fish on way up. Mar is snaggy they lost plent of rigs to my one all day

On a channel island trip last year, we were doing 20+ on the way back, flat calm, not a wave in sight. Somewhere in mid channel the skipper had to do a hard to starboard, he saw what looked like a wheel hub (?) float at the surface. He did a u turn and had a closer look, it was some sort of a tower had to be at least 15' under water, with only a round hub with 4 bolt sticking above the water. Had we hit it, I think that would be it.....

With all those oil gushing out of its hull, just how damaging is it to our marine life and more importantly, how will it affect our fishing?
It may be some miles from our coast, but the oil will settle onto the seabed and from there, it goes up the food chain from small shrimps to bigger fish.
We already see plenty of dead seabirds, guess it won't be long before the crabs and lobster and scallops are next. Experts say it will be years before the seabed recovers.

Well done, great fish.

Good fish and congrat on your pb.

Having said that look at the air intake of any old Seagull! No filter and an updraft carb set about 12" up from the water. Some of these engines are still going at 50 years old!
Aren't those Seagulls 2 strokes ...........

I too found the celebrity chef's cookbooks too fanciful......

It's on the menu bar, it shows up as a topic with a paper clip.
However, in line with the email when there's an attachment, a paper clip should appears in the colume, but it isn't in my case.
Just wandering if there's a setting in Mcafee which stops attachments from coming in?
-
Just got a new computer but Outlook Express isn't accepting any attachments coming thru with the email. The email itself comes thru alright, but there's not 'paper clip' and no attachment.
It's using XP home and runs on Talktalk broadband with Macaffee anti virus/firewall.
Any thoughts?
