On my Samsung S3.
To copy and paste text,
I touch and hold the screen and two markers appear,
Drag these to select the text I want,
A Copy icon appears at the top of the screen which copies to the clipboard
Start new email or whatever.
Touch and hold screen and Paste icon appears.
