anyone out this weekend

Hi does anyone see a change in the weather to possibly get out on the waves this weekend ? are the bream in yet? eggie

Was hoping to get out this weekend but can't say for sure about weather, not heard of any bream yet, ain't heard of many fish for that matter. Might be worth waiting a week or two when sea temp is up a bit but i'd still like to go! . fished shambles few weeks ago only had a lil turbot but can't wait to try again!

ok maybe see you out there im only learning at the moment,ive bought a warrior 165 with a 50hp mercury,so if its quite calm i might venture past the chain ferry and follow what the other fishers do.Mark

do any of you guys drift or anchor up in the harbour fishing or is there not much to catch,or how far out from the chain ferry do you go,i wonder if 11 or so miles is too far for a warrior 165.mark

by 11miles i meant that was the distance im guessing to the needles?,or whats the fishing like by old harry rock?

Hi Mark and welcome to our clubs forum

 

We have had a warrior 165 and a Raider 16 26 miles offshore ie fishing mid channel. In the right weather you will be the restricting factor not the boat. I guess what I mean is on the right day you can go as far as you feel comfortable with.

 

Best way to learn is firstly join the club proper. There are other areas of this site that ordinary forum members can't see. Secondly go out with some other members on their boats. This is the speedy route to learning boatman ship and fishing skills

 

Re: the week end. Weather doesn't look to promising and the fishing is still pants at the mo

eggie, i'd fish for plaice .......try southbourne rough or not too much traffick look in the swash channel......drift both marks.

 

or pollock further out on the wreck's......had some nice ones myself couple of weeks ago

 

us warrior's gota look after each other , where do you launch from, drive from??

 

if your going that far please make sure you have all the safety side of things covered (not much help out there at the mo)

hi gaz i launch from baiters,complete novice wont be going too far yet till i get a bit confident with boat and tackle/bait.i used to be into carp fishing night after night but now fancy something differant.so its all new to me

If you're thinking of the Needles, you'd be better off launching from Christchurch or Mudeford. That's my usual launch spot with my 165 and you're welcome to join me/buddy up from there. But, join the club as a first priority; you will gain far more than

You will not regret joining so long as you keep asking. Information will flow your way almost freely The general membership are so helpful.

 

Re: how long does it take for membership pack.

This may take a day or 2 as all the admin is done manually by volunteers. You see we don't want spammers joining our forum or club so all applications are manually vetted. We received you payment via paypal so I have updated your status in the forum so you can now see all the club minutes of meeting (this could be useful to you as you live out of Town) plus loads of other stuff. All sensitive questions and answers can be seen or gleaned in there.
