Maverick Martin
The bow on a warrior 165 is tiny so why would you want to go up there, it's not save and I for 1 wouldn't advise it. Your anchor can be rigged to allow working from the cockpit so from a fishing perspective absolutely no need to go up front. Other 165 owners will be along on the next bus to advise how to rig your boat Martin
Brian
I didn't have them fitted to my Warrior as I felt they were a waste of money. I couldn't see any reason to ever go onto the foredeck.

Gazza
got them on mine, only good thing i can think of is handling purposes when pulling the boat into position for the trailer. also may come in handy for keeping anchor warp under control on alderney set up better to spend your money on some rod tubes for radar arch....had some last year and i must say i am very happy with them.(look on ebay or ask small fry) don't think i would allow anyone to sit on bow when moving, one slip and the prop go's straight through them.......plenty of ground bait then gary
eggie
cheers gary does your 165 run 2 batterys,i think mine is a 1997 mk1 model and its got one battery for the radio gear and one for the engine running through a switch/isolator,also mine is the only one ive seen on a four wheel trailer, makes it hard to move when its not on the van, wonder if i could take one of the axles out,its on 10" wheels. Brian
I've got twin batteries on mine, 1 for the lights and electronics the other for the engine. Instead of using an "Off-1-Both-2", I fitted a VSR, makes it automatic. Purchased the switch from Merlin Equipment at Cabot Lane (just down the road from you). As the boat lives on a trailer at home, I decided not to fit isolating switches. Edited April 5, 2010 by Brian
Gazza
yep 2 batteries fitted in cupboard under steering wheel with a 1battery .... 2 battery... off switch isolator. i put one of these on after the outboard trim switch decided to trim the engine up all on it's own while i was at work one day and burn it out regards axle i use to run a single axle on 10" braked wheel until i could afford a new axle and 13" wheel set up.(10" wheel was from when i bought it and not by choice). don't worry one day we will meet at Baiter....then you will have loads of ideas to keep you busy through the summer Gary
Barney
I have bow rails fitted to my warrior 165. the mrs wanted them, we use to enter the boat through the front hatch as it sits an a mooring so they were handy to hold on too. Other than this and i like the look of the boat with them they serve no other use. I have a two battery set with one located a the rear and one in the steering console. Also located in the console is a VSR relay two isolator switches and a parallel switch cluster. Mick
