I wonder what he thought the land was on the port side, France? Isle of wight?

 

The boat in the picture looks a bit dodgy , even for a cruise around sheppy.

I'm not convinced he went all the way round the Island even once - all the articles would appear rich on hype, ridicule and exaggeration.

 

they all seem to agree he had a 20l fuel tank though - and that's not going to get him that far! (yes I know all the people on here would work the tides, use optimum throttle settings and get all the way to Southampton on 20 ltrs )

Agreed, you'd think the two road bridges he would have had to pass under would give a bit of a clue, unless he thought someone had dragged France a lot closer and his road atlas was out of date!!
