12Knts from the north equals

I have been down the beach at Alum Chine this afternoon - it was blowing 12knts from the north and the water looked like this:

 

 

A bit of boat wash had the kids running for their body boards, not exactly breaking surf!:

 

 

Fingers crossed Sundays NW is like this, so far surf predictions are from the West so I hope we get shelter from Portland and our Jurassic coast!

With all this rain lately the kids needed to burn up some energy, so with it looking blowy at home and even christchurch harbour had wavelets we went for a walk over hengistbury head. How i wished i had gone out in the boat flat calm as far as i could see out to the needles and old harry looked so appealing. fingers crossed for sunday.
