[Wight Magic]

A good day out

nice weather but a little chilly at times

some nice whiting upto 3lb

2nice cod to me 14lb & the other was 18lb

thanks to Jim and craig for very enjoyable day

hopefuly they will loads some pics on later

Funny thing this fishing 100yds apart and nowt! My mark today was where I had the 24lber not a touch,not even dropped

Same here - went to same mark I had the biggun before and not a touch.

Grinch had one fishing to the north of me I heard.

 

Still that's fishing for you I guess.

Nigel/Paul you can not catch them again if you take them home and eat them

 

Lovely day out there today, it was great to be out on the boat again with both boys.

 

We had masses of whiting up to 3lb 1 on the cod baits, a Blonde and the usual pout and dogs , but we blanked on the cod.

Due to the weather and no access to the caravan i felt that my chances of getting out this weekend were doomed, a quick call to Dave and an offer of a bed for the night and game on. A 7 am start at Cobbs and we were off, out past the chain ferry and east we go down to the car park and pick in rods out and that lovely Jim making the tea, right from the off we had bites, Jim and I keeping the Pout and dog fish a way from Dave so White Magic can get the species required. Banter all day on the radio was great (less of the old Bristolian Mr Chapman ) and the weather just perfect, as this was a team effort Jim and I then let Dave pull the first Cod of 18lb a board

Dave also catching some nice whiting for Jim and my supper, as loyal subjects I felt it only right that all the days glory should go to our captain so we let Dave bring the second Cod aboard.

No seriously had a great day a great laugh with Jim and Dave and it was just so gooooooooooooood to be out.
