I was out with Dave(pirky) and Mike(justonepoutformeplease) it was sloooooow but Dave managed pout, small whiting and a couple of dogs.I managed a conger ,poor cod, pout and whiting.Mike put all his energy into one pout.A hard day ,I did try a mark 6 miles off the needles but the rocking boat pulled the anchor and by the time we retrieved ,the Mark had been taken by a charter mad.gif

We were out for a short spin after spending the morning doing paper work. Good to see Little Sal. Not a bite but we did have a great cup of coffee. Who cares about the fish we were on the water which is what we love.

As Nige has already said......I was out on Wishin and had a good day in good company... Shame about the lack of fish but when out of the wind it was a cracking day!!

I am grateful for the ride Nige and the opportunity to helm ...... Wishin is another version (QS630 with inboard and outdrive) that I wanted to try. Gave me a good insight into the handling and stability in a variety of sea states. Great boat !!

Perhaps next time you will let me catch a few fish !! laugh.gif

We were out yesterday, mid-channel, wrecking. Had about a dozen pollock to about 10lb, as did my brother.

We were out on Tiger Lily with Chris Caines, tho' smile.gif

It was a NE5 and a two metre sea and even the 12m cat was making heavy weather of that. It took us the best part of 4 hours to steam in from 30+miles. Half the guys we were out with were walking wounded, one guy to the extent that he stopped talking and moving, he looked proper ill.

Martin,

Cetainly will, he's the best skipper I've ever had the pleasure to meet. His morale boosting "you're all fishing like lesbians" is a classic.

We've been fishing with Chris for the past 10 years and have trips planned for plaice in April and Alderney in June.

Bring it on!

Chris
