The wreck cant be that deep - the divers arent kitted out for anything much deeper than 40m.

Edit: Just looked, a mate of mine has dived it - 40m to the wreck, 57m to the sea bed, sits 5 miles out of Cherbourg.

If your mate has dived a few out there has he a few recomendations about the ones to look at fishing.

I am quite willing to spend time researching wrecks, but an idea of which ones would be nice.

even better numbers, for known fishing wrecks. laugh.giflaugh.gif

It looks like the route to Cherbourg takes in better wrecks than the route to Alderney.

I've fished couple of these channel trip, one to fecamp and one to cherbourg.

The wrecks fish very well for pollocks, lings and BIG congers (over 100lb).

If you go over at the end of summer, the breams are plate sized, most are in the 3-5lbs range.

Hi kam

any idea which wrecks and how far off land were you

You have me interested now biggrin.gif

I don't know the names of the wrecks as I was on a charter. All I know is the wrecks where we caught lots of big congers and breams were on the french side of the channel.

Sorry.
