loyal royal Posted January 12, 2012 Author Report Posted January 12, 2012 heres another with this boat it very stable at rest as the keel floods on this modal it holds 530 l of water in rough conditions you can keep the ballast water using the shut off gate taking advantage of the added weight keeping the boat safe ' stable and soft riding . great white Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Very Nice Mark My mate in Auckland had a smaller surtees when we visited years ago, she was a great boat with some interesting ideas on the trailer for easy launch and recovery. I am sure you will have a great summer on her Tight lines Charlie Quote
TomBettle Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Nice looking boat Mark! How are you guys getting on out there? Where exactly are you in NZ? Anywhere near the Bay of Islands? If yes, you need to get out on the Mako and Striped Marlin! Quote
great white Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 They tend not to target sharks out that way,but get them as a by catch. My mate visited in November and tells me that he has been doing well on speed jigs for Kingfish, then bought a 6ft Great White to the boat on one. envious He bottled out of trying to get the jig back Sure beats 10 hrs for 1 cod and a few whiting Charlie Quote
charlieannear Posted January 12, 2012 Report Posted January 12, 2012 Looks great! Gonna have to take another trip to NZ sometime... Quote
