Hi all

Has anyone a 3-leg pulley I can borrow as I need to remove the flywheel from my outboard. It is a Yamaha 40HP twin carb, old but works a treat.

It would need to be fairly large to get the legs under the flywheel.

I need to see where there is a break in the lighting coil as it is not charging and no output from the coil. :-(

Many thanks

That will be a big puller !

Has it got 3 or 4, 6 or 8mm tapped holes in the top face ?

If so they are for removing flywheel.

Plate with matching holes and bolts and centre bolt.

Tighten it all up and whack centre bolt with hammer.

Cheers all for the info

I thought I had an old mini flywheel pulley somewhere but need to have a deeper look.

Looking to borrow Jims puller if needed.

Dave, not sure size of bolts but look about 6 or 8mm with 3 holes

Will advise how I get on blink.gif
