Coddy
Hi all Has anyone a 3-leg pulley I can borrow as I need to remove the flywheel from my outboard. It is a Yamaha 40HP twin carb, old but works a treat. It would need to be fairly large to get the legs under the flywheel. I need to see where there is a break in the lighting coil as it is not charging and no output from the coil. :-( Many thanks Dave

Has it got 3 or 4, 6 or 8mm tapped holes in the top face ? If so they are for removing flywheel. Plate with matching holes and bolts and centre bolt. Tighten it all up and whack centre bolt with hammer.
diverdave
If you get stuck let me know. I've got a mini flywheel puller that I adapted to fit my 50hp Evinude using the holes in the flywheel.
