I was planning on launching at West Bay tomorrow. Last year we got caught out when we arrived down there to find the slip closed for dredging, meaning an extra 45 mins trip back to Lyme Regis. I've been checking the Council web site, calling the harbourmaster's office - no reply all week - and even phoned Portland CG. Nobody has published any info or can tell me anything.

 

Just now I've learned the dredging is in progress, so I won't be going there.

Perfect Rob, you're a star! Never thought about the road closure aspect - silly me thought they may publish something in the Harbour pages! That settles that then.
