What a cracking day weatherwise for a mid week session with Dizzy from AA.

Loads of Dogs out at 70ft, moved inshore to another mark.

Wondered what the heck this was when it broke surface:

PB Slug! Lovely colours, bright red on the underside.

Then later, the catch of the day for me:

My first and only Spotted Ray, well chuffed (please don't tell me it's a Thornback)

Cheers

It is definitely not a thornback! And the only thing it could be mistaken for is a blonde, but it isn't!

The blonde has more spots than the spotted! Perverse but true!

Well done for getting out.

Lovely weather and pictures

and some nice fish

Did you weigh the rockling as that looks a good specimen, and the same for the spotted [definately is one]

Both look to be a decent size for fish that do not grow huge

Well done

Hope we get a sea like that tomorrow

Thanks all.

Hi Charlie, don't carry scales and fish returned, did wonder about the Rockling, it was certainly over a pound, but not two. The Spotty looks bigger than it was, maybe 3lb, neither specimens, but good fish nonetheless.
