Rob
I had been storing JoJo at my in-laws for the past 6/8 weeks as I needed the drive space to replace the gutters, fascia & soffits etc and paint the house. I hadn't run the engine up since a trip out in dec for the cod, so I did that once I got her home today to ensure it ran, charged the battery a little and get some oil coatin the internals.'which I try to do every 4 weeks if not used in anger!!!!!! Anyhow, I didn't squeeze the fuel bulb or open the vent on the tank, but she fired up in what must have been less that one complete turn over! Very impressed and very happy to have such good Jap engineering behind me (someone will now say that they are designed and made in the US or something). She is a few years old now (2003 I think) and was the last of the 4 cylinder 4 carb units before fuel injection was introduced. I have only ever had to perform standard plug, filter(s) and oil changes on her, impressed and still loving her! Rob

great white
Good news ref the engine Rob I had a 2 stroke Yamaha and it ran sweet for years. I was cooing over Manta Ray on friday night [she is a cracker] then on Saturday morning Alfresco's trim tilt motor started to stick. Dave on White Magic put it down to saying how nice Alan's boat is. What a superstitious lot we are Charlie Edited April 16, 2012 by great white
