diverdave Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 Why dont they just ask us ? http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/9658...ss_wind_speeds/ Quote
Adam F Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 You would struggle to see that little mast 8 miles out at sea! Not sure what all the fuss is about. Gas etc are of a limited resource, nuclear is considered dangerous (and the power stations ugly) and no one likes the look of wind turbines... but everyone wants power! Quote
Matt Posted April 19, 2012 Report Posted April 19, 2012 Not to mention a big huge wind farm will obstruct the trawlers Plus where exactly in bournmouth would you be able to stand and have your view of the jurrasic coast spoilt by it? Quote
Wedger Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 Why do these people feel the need to justify their job by crassly objecting to just about anything!! You wouldn't be able to see a 100 metre mast 8 miles off without a telescope, on the clearest of days and if you knew where to look. Some of it also obscured by the curvature of the earth. What on earth drives these idiots? It's definitely not knowledge or common sense! Quote
Graham Nash Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 The Rowridge TV transmitter is 187 met tall (and similar structure to the one proposed). It really needs a sharp eye to be able to see it from Milford on Sea, which is around 10 miles away. Quote
Wedger Posted April 21, 2012 Report Posted April 21, 2012 Any of you been to Gran Canaria? Did the wind farm at Las Palmas put you off? Quote
