In Poole Bay approx 1982

Life was much more sedate in 1982, 6 knts flat out, but a gallon seemed to last for ever.

We used to tow a dinghy, used it for going ashore (e.g. Brownsea, Studland etc.).

By memory I'd say the fishing was much better, but maybe I only remember the the good days. Had to have more patience with a slow boat, decide where to fish and stick with it.
