No crew at all at the moment sad.gif

So may have to chase that up, or I suppose I could possibly crew for someone else if they are short.

Not sure if I should save the browny points for the possible Cherbourg trip later in the summer.

What is the proposed format?

I need to see if I can get time off covered as my assistant is on honeymoon. Any more than the weekend [Competition hours] could be a problem.

Sorry but at this moment in time Wishin Too is not fit to go.

I have a serious lack of power under load and I'm starting to think it may be related to the leg, changed pre and engine fuel filters but can not get over 16knts.Rev out of gear to over 4k but underway lucky to get 2500revs and then it fluctuates badly.

I will spend as much time as I can trying different things and then test but it takes at least 15/20 mins to get out to the open sea then same time to get back in so a slow process.

Will update through the week.

Thanks for the interest in my personal hygiene Rob tongue.gif But she's only been in about six weeks and the river doesn't weed up my bottom like a sea mooring biggrin.gif

After a phone call from a mate Gary..thanks Dan,he told me that a lot of American/Canadian built boats have a small filter fitted to the tank pickup because they normally fit petrol engines.

So after work in a bit of rain blink.gif Stripped out and Bingo a tiny little gauze fitted to the end which was covered in small particles.....removed and launched biggrin.gif.

Rebuilt and running I just had to try it ph34r.gif And it is fine again in fact better than fine it's faster biggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Just have to sort the weather now otherwise I might have to use it to get to work blink.gif

Thanks for the phone calls and advice guys

Very pleased for you Nige. I was going to suggest a narrowing in the filter system 'cos we had the same problem on Hilda Maud.

Looking forward to you flying past me most days.

delighted for you, i spent the afternoon trying to think why you had a leg problem with those symptoms. wish now i remembered the gauze bit

after my saga with a fuel tank i think- if i remember correctly that we (my engineer really) cut the gauze off and also shortened the uptake pipe slightly to get it away from any crud on the botttom of the tank. tank size is such that thats not an issue.

in my ignorance the only question left is why could you draw fuel for high revs under no load but coudnt get it when loaded up does revs not control consumption?

chuffed for you now enjoy

After a call from and discussion with Dave, it seems weather has stopped play again and I have therefore cancelled the accommodation in Alderney. Bored now! Can I go fishing sometime this 'summer' please. mad.gif

Sunday was good! (well, not that nice and I should have worn my thermals!)

Unlucky lads, I know how much everyone looks forward to the "Alderney Experience".

Can we extend the club waters south to the Med?
