Oli
Currently we're fuelling up at Parkstone Bay Marina but chatting with Neal yesterday I realised we have no idea if we're paying a fortune or getting a good deal (if there is such a thing on diesel at the moment!). I'm pretty sure we're paying 1.40+ per litre on a pump that apparently has the 60/40 split built in to the price. Does anyone know roughly what the current price at Corrals by the bridge is? Mike Fox
2.7 litres per hour = about 2 miles and a bit per litre at 6 knots. I said
Ian.Jones
I was in Lymington today and Berthon's price for diesel was 87p per litre, reducing down to 80p depending on quantity purchased. Sounds like Poole is expensive! Ian

Adam F
I was in Lymington today and Berthon's price for diesel was 87p per litre, reducing down to 80p depending on quantity purchased. Sounds like Poole is expensive! Ian Don't get too excited. These are prices BEFORE duty is applied. It's a bit naughty really, but helps out the commercials I guess. Red diesel from Upton is the way to go, but personally I don't fancy 200 ltrs of smelly diesel in my boot! True, Parkstone is slightly dearer but then you have the convenience factor. The 30 mins or so it takes to steam up to the bridge, fill up and then get back out is better spend fishing IMO!
great white
As Adam says its a bit naughty that they advertise the commercial price [Or the lower price of the 60/40 split] Therfore you would get 40% of what you buy, at that price. You have to add about 47p per litre for the other 60% Mind you that would still be cheaper than PBM. Charlie
