Graham Nash Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 While walking my dogs in Baiter this morning I could see the Search & Rescue chopper over (what looked like Sandbanks inner harbour). The water is so shallow there that anyone should be able to stand. Lets hope there is a successful outcome. http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/1012...Harbour/?ref=mr Quote
Martin.C Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Not good news, Three men in a tender going out to there boat when it capsized ... One of them I no Paul, had a floatation suit the other two nothing... Paul swam to the boat only to see his mate who he thought was holding onto the tender struggling To take his jacket off... That was the last he saw of him ... He's still missing, Tragic .... Thoughts with family Quote
Guest Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Thats terrible .... I genuinely thought all would be well inside the harbour I suppose it just goes to show how quickly things can go wrong and how unforgiving the sea can be. Quote
Maverick Martin Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 Saw the Coastguard van and police dashing down sandbanks road this morning then heard the reports on local radio, totally tragic My thoughts are with all those concerned and their families Martin Quote
fisherman1055 Posted December 23, 2012 Report Posted December 23, 2012 I hope we get good news about the missing guy But possibly a tragedy for his family, especially this close to the festive season The trip in the dinghy is the bit that always scares me when I go on another boat A timely reminder to wear your life jacket at times Wishing for a positive outcome Tony Quote
Sinbad Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 Im afraid its not good news...... I heard tonight there had been one casualty who died. what a tragic waste of life...maybe preventable..but very sad all the same. Paul Quote
Guest Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 I walked along Baiter front this morning before Santa got up and I thought of the poor families involved. At a time they should have been celebrating they would have been devastated, and the memory will be with them every Christmas from now. My thoughts are with them. Quote
