I am happy to organise meals a little nearer the time to avoid so many changes. I will give them warning, though. Last night Harbour Lights again? Second night Rea's (was The Moorings), I can just book and choose meals on the night, and free on the first night as I expect Adam will want to go to Marais Hall. Adam F Posted March 6, 2013 Author Report Posted March 6, 2013 You know it's bad luck to not go to the Maris on the first night. Long walk yes, but you need it to build a hunger for a fish soup starter, then a pepper steak and then a guiness or 5! Quote
Rob Posted March 6, 2013 Report Posted March 6, 2013 Even AJ and I did it last year when we were on separate craft! You're making me feel hungry now! Quote

Adam F Posted March 24, 2013 Author Report Posted March 24, 2013 A video to whet the appetite! Nothing better to do on a cold, windy March afternoon! What cracking weather we had back in June 09: Quote
Adam F Posted March 24, 2013 Author Report Posted March 24, 2013 And from the last trip I did in 2011 - a bit windier this one! Quote
great white Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 Good memories mate Lets hope we get the 2009 forecast again the wrecks are loaded, banks covered in flats and hungry tope at speedy Is that too much to ask?? Quote
Adam F Posted March 24, 2013 Author Report Posted March 24, 2013 I hope not Charlie! I hate that it's my holiday highlight of the year (don't tell Rach!) yet we never really know if its a goer until a week or so before! It's agony! Quote
Matt Posted March 24, 2013 Report Posted March 24, 2013 We must be owed some good weather - since we aborted the first Alderney dates last year we have barely had any settled weather. Just did a quick tally on what i caught on the trip 2011- 4 mackeral, 3 turbot, 1wrasse. Cant understand why i am excited This year i would love a 45lb plus tope to beat my pb, double figure flatty..... And a 20lb plus pollack on the way over so i can say 'i broke your record dad' for 4 days! ( i may need to hitch a ride home if this happens) Quote
Rob Posted March 25, 2013 Report Posted March 25, 2013 Don't forget the good food, beer and banter!!! Rob Adam F 1 Quote

Steve S Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 I'm an Alderney first timer, I was going to say virgin but that would be off topic... I'd appreciate some suggestions as to what bait to take over with me and what I should be able to catch or buy there. Also can I get ice there for a freezer box? Steve Quote
