Hi All

I did start a thread on the old site regarding the WSF Weymouth meet which is being held from 8th - 15th June.

Purpose of this thread is to get confirmation of those that are def interested and what their plans are likely be ie part or all the time?

Dean and I are planning to go either the first (preferred) week end from the sat through to the Tuesday or if weather scuppers that the following weekend.

Reason for this second thread is I am unable to find the old thread here and haven't access to the old site now. Terry the organiser is trying to get an idea of numbers so he can forewarn the HM of approximate numbers hence this new thread.

Thanks in advance

Martin

1. Awol

2. Wishing Too

3. Alfresco

Probably make a long weekend one end depending on weather .. Won't be bothering the HM as will be tucked up in Portland!!!

So only 2 weeks now to this lads week/week end away and I am really looking forward to it.  I intend to hopefully go to Weymouth on the Friday evening for an early start out fishing Saturday (headache permitting :P ) I will return either Monday or Tuesday pm depending on weather and work

I will stay in  the cove at Weymouth as it makes the evening socialising much easier ie get out boat into pub then fall back into boat.  Some other WSF boats are berthing at Portland marina and will require taxi rides into town to socialise with the main group, where do you intend to go? also anyone else going to add their name to the list?

I am probably going to have to go the same way as Adam

But that depends on what happens over the next couple of weeks

Just can not do it all.

if the conditions end up perfect for both wouldn't you just offset it against all those trips that didn't happen because of the weather?

I'm looking to attend if the weather suggests it will be enjoyable; dates flexible and I suppose I should carry passport and various c.flags in case I make it a round trip...(those were the days)

Fingers crossed we will be needing the c flag for the 48 hr weekend, so it may be pushing even my Mrs patience to go away the weekend before as well Duncan.

Good to see you on the boat again last weekend, is that the  start of more frequent sightings ?

I have never seen a more ridiculous forecast than Metcheck has up currently for the whole period of this trip - OK it's light E winds but in the weather forecast I could sit in the harbour 'fishing' and drinking beer!

folks

I really enjoy the Weymouth meet and had been looking forward to meeting you guys again but currently the weather don't look to kindly on another long distance foray west. forecasts seem to change so many times these days so I don't rule it out yet! good luck to all those that do go especially those arriving by sea- the only "proper" way to do it
