aikidojohn
I have just been offered a Mercury 50 for £200, but little is known about it it was put in the guys dads shed and was working some years ago. The guy knows nothing about outboards (I am not much better) Just a thought if I got this as well as the one I just got, had it serviced may be there's a small prophet waiting. Or just a big bill? Guest
it could be either ..... unfortunately youd need to be pretty lucky to be getting a good one for £200 (stranger things have happened tho', just not to me :-()
aikidojohn
I know what you are saying but I have just got (still to pick up mind) a Mercury 50 that's a gooden mind £650. May be at worst, the £200 one would be good for spears
Adam F
I'd want to see it running, shouldn't be too hard to rig it up in a tub of water. If its a non-runner, you could make a silly offer for spares? If it runs, even rough, then £200 is a bargain.
