Steve S Posted June 11, 2015 Report Share Posted June 11, 2015 I am not sure I would want to be at anchor knowing a sharp pull and the boat is on the drift. That could come from wake, chop, a change of wind direction. my trip is low diameter rope, knotted. The boat has to be over the anchor and considerable force applied before the rope breaks. I did use to use tyraps and to be fair I never had a them trip while at anchor however I found they would often trip before they needed to on the retrieve I got up to 6 being used thought this is this is getting crazy so tried thin rope.
