Adam F Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I take it this is the on one boats and outboards? A 40hp will be OK on the 150, I reckon cruising at 15 knots and a top end of 18. A 50hp is the ideal size for a 150 in terms of both economy and speed, and 60hp ditto on a 165. Adam Quote
duncan Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Not withstanding the boat comments, I can't help feeling that an individual who has agreed to give someone 'first pass' and sticks to that agreement in the face of flying fivers is a gentleman rather than an idiot. Quote
Newboy Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 I didn't say anything, cos I was one of the idiots when I recently sold my Mercury 100 Quote

Yes I can see your point Duncan and think that in many ways you are right BUT Having sold stuff privately my self and had so many time wasters and folk who say "We'll be there at 10am" etc and they never turn up, I think the bloke was a bit of a divvey offering to hold on for a week or so for a bloke to take a look without first having any commitment to buy.
