Tarlach.
Hi all, I’m raiding your waters for the first time this season . Tarlach Too is heading west for an impromptu session with a couple of eager shipmates . I’m after some mark numbers for tope and conger near to freshwater or the near area !! Can anybody help ? Many thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Jim
Coddy
As a starting point I would suggest looking at the chart/plotter for the 100ft contour from St. Catherine's point Westward Don't forget that drawing a line from St Catherine's through the Isle of Wight to West Cowes/Southampton anything westward is in club waters for records & comps etc. Dave Tarlach.

Maverick Martin
I would agree with Dave that any of the banks south of the iow can hold tope. Not sure about conger but have caught them in open waters ie the cod grounds that would appear almost barren on the plotter.

Maverick Martin
Yes but you would still be eligible to enter any fish you catch in our waters into the fish of the month competition which is an ongoing comp Jim and Tarlach.

We have a late start 11.30am so, would like to get fishing sooner rather than steam for hours !! great white
Look for areas that are deeper gulleys or holes 35 or more metres deep anchor to fish into the deeper bits, get some fresh baits into the hole and the tope should come. Once you get them feeding reducing the size of baits makes the takes more positive Jim
