Andy135
I plan to relocate some flush fit rod holders from the middle of the splashwell top to the corners. This means I'll have two lovely round holes in the top surface of the of splashwell, about 45mm in diameter. What's the best way to fill and gelcoat these? Maverick Martin
Call Martin Cobb (07860200220) or some other glass fibre guru. They can make invisible repairs unlike my attempts. Even if you did a good job on the glassing colour matching is an art Andy135, Jim, Tarlach. and 1 other
jerry.shutter
Hi Andy, I 100% agree with what Martin sayes, however!!! I had a little argument with a chain, which took a horrendous gash out of the corner of my boat. I spent a bit of time watching YouTube videos and LOTS more time getting a colour match. Practiced on an old dinghy I have and have done an end result that the boat builder really struggled to find the mend. It’s not rocket science and I found it really satisfying, but I do have the time. The finished picture is before final wet and dry and polish, which did make a big difference. Good luck!!
