Camira Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Having just looked through the June issue of BFM I noticed an article on Anchor Recovery. Whilst I do understand that many boat owners use the 'Alderney Ring' method of Recovering their anchor I notice that if-fact there is an addition to just using the ring. I have been quoted nearly Quote
Newboy Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 You can get an anchor recover ring (Alderney ring is trade marked) plus a triangle with a hole on top for Quote
Adam F Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Camira, Most of us use the system without the triangle. This just stops the bouy from dissapreaing under the bow, but with a little manourvering this can be avoided anyway - shame you missed the boat training day, we covered this. My advice would be to go for one of the Stainless Steve / Pete or the DP Marine products. Buy a cheap buoy from a chandlers and away you go. Quote
Maverick Martin Posted May 20, 2005 Report Posted May 20, 2005 Hi Tony Send a pm to shytalk (Peter) he may possibly be able to make you one for a reasonable amount. You will still have to provide your own bouy and shackles etc. Martin Quote
Camira Posted May 20, 2005 Author Report Posted May 20, 2005 Thanks Chaps, PM is on it's way, and will also try other suggested sites. Great being a club member. Tony Quote
