Great weather window, so a trip to check the boat and drown some worms. Big tides limited things a bit but drifting down the front and past the piers gave us a really wonderful welcome back to the real world. With nets and a trawler out to annoy us we had some lovely Plaice to a PB 50cm on a new rod, Dabs, Tub Gurnard, Whiting and a beautifully marked Thornback.

The boat worked well, the fish obliged, the weather was kind so a perfect day. Can anyone ID the spherical egg casing I caught?
