Bob F
Just a reminder... Don't forget to adjust your insurance value when you renew your boat insurance each year. There's no point in insuring a boat for it's full new price each year because you will not get the new price from the insurance company if you have to make a claim. They will just give you a fair market value based on it's age. So insure it for it's fair market value. I saved

kaptin kod
There are a few companies now offering a policy where you get back the entire value you insure it for, obviously you pay slightly more but it might be worth it on some models. Swainiac
Adam..its the same as car insurance.....its whatever the insurance company reckon your boat and kit are worth......unless it is new for old on the policy, unfortunately, you will get market value, no matter how much you insure for. Newboy
Adam the short answer is NO. Most insurance co will only pay market value for any claim. More or less like your car, you can insure the Astra for
jack
I am lucky enough to be able to insure my zodiac on my house insurance, small boat section.I dont know what thier limitations are because they took mine without question.....pehaps they even do a ,"new for old " arrangement, but I haven't the nerve to ask....jack

Paul D
Mike, Did you try BoatInsure who are also online only. Boatinsure They are actually Amlin Insurance who I believe are one of the brokers who Porthcawl use. Worked for me. ( but the proof in the pudding will be if you have to claim I guess ! )
