Booked into Nuffield for tomorrow and the RAC will take me there.

I just hope that the distance I travelled wasn't enough to do serious and expensive damage. But that's nothing compared to how angry I am with myself.

The RAC man has transported it and Simon & crew at Nuffield motors are going to fix it for me.

I know I wanted to lose a bit of weight . . . . . . . . . . but not off my wallet!

Yep!

All done and I filled up with the correct fuel too.  Running perfectly now so thankyou to Nuffield.

Had it cleaned inside & out on the way home too.

Ah well!

Back to work!

I did the sme thing last year. £60 of petrol in a diesel, it was Lorraine's Birthday and we were going out for the day. (not) Realised when i had paid and got back to the car, the lady in the petrol station was very understanding and put cones round the car, clearly I was not the only one to have done it there. Specialist company came out and for the princly sum of £160 drained the tank and took away all my expensive petrol.

Saved the cost of new filters etc.

I had no idea until it started misfiring.  Reminded me of my old Vauxhall Chevette !

We've all done it I guess, thankfully my car has a failsafe filler that prevents the wrong nozzle being inserted. You don't want that to happen!!!
