Jackie and I are thinking about getting a doggy.

Before we contact the rehoming people.

Are there any available within the club that we could consider?

Small to medium size preferred, not too old as we need the exercise too!

Nah!

We've been on about getting a dog when I retire for years.

We've had a few in the family over the years but perhaps it's time I had my own now!

I could train it to nick your fish while you're cleaning the boats down ! :P

Working spaniels WILL need so much exercise Jim. My sister had one and the thing just would never sit still. Lovely dogs but need to be in the correct family life style to satisfy their needs.

Yes exactly. My point is though that they are relentless. And if your after a dog that will get up and go when you do and then relax when you do, then a springer is not that dog.

Thanks all for the advice.

That's exactly what we thought.

My days of chasing around like an idiot are long gone!

I can do the idiot bit OK but the chasing around I'm gonna struggle with. 🤪:)

Thanks Steve.

We looked at some Russel pups the other day and fell in love but maybe looking at a rescue dog rather than feeding the pockets of puppy producers.

We didn't buy dogs when I was young. People were always looking to home their pups.

And yes my favourite dogs are Heinz 57

Not after a freebie. I know it'll cost but just weighing up the odds before leaping in and regretting it later.
