having definitely said I wasn't fishing the comp - because I wanted to have the whole of the following weekend free for the 48hr - I am now planning to do so (having come back from holiday yesterday 'cos the weather just wasn't nice!).

Probably be doing both comps.

Martin,

I was hoping to fish both but Charlie is now out on Mistress Linda with Phil, and my daughter and boyfriend want a day out fishing so I was hoping to combine the two, but i'll wait and see what tomorrow brings and maybe i'll be requesting a crewing position , kids being what they are..

Hi All

I have just spoken to Peter regarding tomorrows bream comp, considering the wind is due to go west and ease we have decided that the comp will be ON. biggrin.gifbiggrin.gif

Although the weather is wet the wind should be 3/4/5 westerly

We consider that to be safe, but can I remind the skippers that it is your decision to go or not.

Please take into account the ability of your boat and crew to deal with the weather before making your decisions on where to fish.

Fishing under the normal Club Rules, please confirm if you are fishing post here, send me an email or leave a message on my home phone tonight.

Whistler may not be out tomorow, and I may only have one crew so taking down notes may be awkward in the morning in the rain and wind.

Splash-Out will be going out from Mudeford with little Rob as crew.

Intend to go out early and come in around 1pm, before LW at 3pm.

But if it looks too iffy in the morning I will give it a miss.

Just re-check the new forecast:

Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis.

24 hour forecast:

Wind: west or southwest 5, occasionally 6 at first.

Weather: showers then rain.

Visibility: moderate or good becoming moderate with fog patches.

Sea State: moderate, occasionally rough at first.

Outlook for the following 24 hours:

Wind: west or southwest 5, perhaps 6 for a time, veering east 4 or 5.

Weather: rain then fair.

Visibility: moderate with fog patches becoming good.

Sea State: moderate

Has worsened since this morning, with no sign of any North in the wind and freshening to 5/6....not ideal to say the least!

BW will still launch and make a run for the ledge, but I suspect a S/SW F5/6 will keep us well away - mullet fishing in the harbour it looks like. sad.gifsad.gif

great white will be out with me and dad she may be slow but she can handle the weather well so while all the warriors are dashing for cover we can carry on fishing
