Maverick Martin Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Just been in to see Andy at PSAC and he stated his comp is a goer. We just need to hear from Pete/Charlie to confirm or otherwise if our comps happening Martin Quote
overdraft Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Martin, can we fish the club comp with a non member on board, or does it have to be a member? cheers, Kim Quote
Maverick Martin Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Kim Your crew member needn't be a club member Are you fishing both comps? Martin Quote
duncan Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 having definitely said I wasn't fishing the comp - because I wanted to have the whole of the following weekend free for the 48hr - I am now planning to do so (having come back from holiday yesterday 'cos the weather just wasn't nice!). Probably be doing both comps. Quote
overdraft Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 Martin, I was hoping to fish both but Charlie is now out on Mistress Linda with Phil, and my daughter and boyfriend want a day out fishing so I was hoping to combine the two, but i'll wait and see what tomorrow brings and maybe i'll be requesting a crewing position , kids being what they are.. Newboy Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 I'm as yet undecided until tomorrow. Don't really enjoy get tossed around and throwing up..... Quote

great white Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Hi All I have just spoken to Peter regarding tomorrows bream comp, considering the wind is due to go west and ease we have decided that the comp will be ON. Although the weather is wet the wind should be 3/4/5 westerly We consider that to be safe, but can I remind the skippers that it is your decision to go or not. Please take into account the ability of your boat and crew to deal with the weather before making your decisions on where to fish. Fishing under the normal Club Rules, please confirm if you are fishing post here, send me an email or leave a message on my home phone tonight. Whistler may not be out tomorow, and I may only have one crew so taking down notes may be awkward in the morning in the rain and wind. Tight lines Charlie Quote
blueboatdriver Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Charlie, I will not make a decision until first thing tomorrow morning as the forecast is a bit iffy. Will call on channel six if we're about. Cheers, Simon. Quote
Maverick Martin Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Maverick will be out with Dean, Gordon M and Me onboard Martin Quote
Adam F Posted June 4, 2005 Author Report Posted June 4, 2005 BW will be out, launching from Christchurch with James on board. See you out there. Quote

duncan Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Phaeton will be out with me and NM Dave (unless I get him to join tonight!) Quote
Newboy Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 I think I'll give it a miss as I'm not too keen on a F4. I might pop out Tuesday as it's looking at a F3 Northerly. Quote
Bob F Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Splash-Out will be going out from Mudeford with little Rob as crew. Intend to go out early and come in around 1pm, before LW at 3pm. But if it looks too iffy in the morning I will give it a miss. BF Quote
Coddy Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 Sammy and crew will NOT be out tommorrow My mother has come down for the week-end and so all play has been stopped! Good luck to those who make it Coddy Quote
Adam F Posted June 4, 2005 Author Report Posted June 4, 2005 Just re-check the new forecast: Selsey Bill to Lyme Regis. 24 hour forecast: Wind: west or southwest 5, occasionally 6 at first. Weather: showers then rain. Visibility: moderate or good becoming moderate with fog patches. Sea State: moderate, occasionally rough at first. Outlook for the following 24 hours: Wind: west or southwest 5, perhaps 6 for a time, veering east 4 or 5. Weather: rain then fair. Visibility: moderate with fog patches becoming good. Sea State: moderate Has worsened since this morning, with no sign of any North in the wind and freshening to 5/6....not ideal to say the least! BW will still launch and make a run for the ledge, but I suspect a S/SW F5/6 will keep us well away - mullet fishing in the harbour it looks like. Quote
Sam Posted June 4, 2005 Report Posted June 4, 2005 great white will be out with me and dad she may be slow but she can handle the weather well so while all the warriors are dashing for cover we can carry on fishing sam Quote
