Feedback noted Charlie .
Any recommendations for a weighing sling or are they quite generic?

Century have just brought out one which looks good. We use an old Royal Mail sack or just weigh them in the net and weigh the net (every time )after and subtract the difference.

I do the same as Colin. My net comes off of the pole so it is easy to hook my scales onto the net. My net weighs exactly

1lb. So every fish weighed I subtract the weight of the fish by a lb.

I use a large carp sack for weighing, I have found it to be easy to use and rinses easily. Will take heavy duty use no problem.

I invested in a century weigh sling. No more will sharks be hung by the jaw on my boat!!






PS, I would like to add that usually I support the belly when handling. But, for vanity I was trying to photograph the fish, which is tough to do single handed.

I get the whole single handed photo thing, I tried a suction holder and just caught my phone before it hit the deck.

Will not be trusting that anymore. Might try a magnetic holder next.

My suction holder works fine, clean grp or glass required. Some work better than others.

After struggling with a selfie when solo a few years ago. I  now carry a tripod and phone holder. Tripod has flexi legs that can grip any rail

If really struggling i take a video. Then take a still from the video
