I used to have one of these reels and found them ok for light/medium inshore work. Had you been cleaning it with a saturated solution of diesel and certain weed killer crystals? Is it worth fifty quid, the price between a good new light reel, and the loss of good fish, and a days angling? Speak with Alun J, he has reels that are well priced, with warranties, and brand names, eg ABU. Alternatively, give Reel Care, 100 Kendal Ave, Southampton, 02380 777232, a call.
