Maverick Martin
A few of us are going out on Sunday to either the back of Brownsea, up South deep or maybe Studland depending on weather of course. The intention is to drop the hook and raft up, have a picnic and perhaps a bottle of wine or a couple of beers and socialise. I might even put me big toe in the water Any one else up for it Names so far are: Martin (Maverick) Tony (Ginsky) Adam (Blue Warrior) Bob (Splash Out) Martin

Maverick Martin
Adam Not 100% sure yet, could be Blood Alley, Pottery Pier, or Cleavel Pt. It really depends on wind direction so will decide in the morning. Will listen out for your call on ch6. Martin

Bob F
Karen didn't manage to get out on the boat today. I had to leave her in her sick bed on her birthday. Stomach bug. But she insisted that I take little Rob out on the boat with the doughnut. What a great day!!! We all rafted up to Great White who was at anchor in the shelter of Brownsea Island by Pottery pier. Splash-Out, Blue Warrior, Ginsky, Maverick, Prodigy and a little later Phaeton. It didn't take long to crack open a few bottles of chilled beer and unwrap the sandwiches, and only a few moments more before a few of us where diving overboard. The sea temp of 20 degrees C, which was bracing at first but really refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed jumping between boats, having a chat and playing with the electronics and toys. Then BW and SO shot off for a play with the doughnut. A great laugh until Rachel nutted little Dan on the back of his head. Both were ok, so Adam was next in for a solo run. He was hanging on like a limpet, so did my little trick to flip him out. It was like tossing a pancake 6ft in the air. Great laugh. When back at the boat raft the Harbour Master came past and saw the doughnut. He advised me that it was not allowed to be used anywhere in the harbour, including the Skiing area. Adam and I had to leave early, but it was difficult to pull ourselves away, especially as Duncan had just fired up the BBQ!!! A superb day which we definitely must do more often. cheer BF
Maverick Martin
Nice write up Bob I would agree it was a perfect day, brilliant weeather, great company and thoroughly enjoyable. Even Missus B said it was a nice day and that we must do it again so must of been good. A little late for another this summer but maybe we can arrange two or three for next summer Martin
great white
What a great Day, I went behind the island just as the others were getting afloat and managed to find space for us all, out of the wind. So the big anchor went in. Through the course of the day a total of eight Club Boats were involved, with up to six at one time hanging on my anchor I was glad I had put the big one down. Of course some of us got a rod out, but the main aim was a social gathering which was 100% Successful. cold drinks from all directions, teas and coffees from Prodigy and Ginsky, Bacon rolls from Great White and BBQ from Phaeton. As Bob says we must repeat this type of thing perhaps a little earlier next summer Wendy Sam Dan and I had a great time. Thanks Adam for trusting Sam to drive your boat while you were in the ringo and to put it back alongside the rest of the pack. He really enjoyed it especially when the wake from your own boat and Bobs acceleration ejected you out of the ringo. Nice to wander from boat to boat chatting about the boats and their equipment, on a nice warm and sunny day, even the sea was nice and warm, Lovely It was mentioned that the day was probably even better for the fact that although it was warm and sunny it was also to windy for a fishing trip, so none of us were thinking we would have been better off further offshore. Great Day Thanks to all that took part and Thanks to those who had the idea

Adam F
Rach and I had a cracking time and as all above had said we really must do it more - a cruise around to the West would be nice next time? Bob had his collar felt for a second time on the way back towing the ringo across the harbour - the Harbour Patrol on Jetski caught up with him!! I took a few good piccies which Ill post later when I get home. Adam
Afishionado
Quote......Bob had his collar felt for a second time on the way back towing the ringo across the harbour - the Harbour Patrol on Jetski caught up with him!! I think it was most unkind of Martin and Charlie to radio ahead and warn the harbour patrols. I seem to remember phrases like 'Lock 'im up an' throw away the key mate' being said Any way I am told that Bobs 'donut' is not very big. I put it down to the water temperature meself. Bob F
I had it bit by a wasp once. Went to the doctors and asked him for something that would take away the pain, but leave the swelling. BF
duncan
Cobb boat suitable BBQ link - I promised those from Sunday the link and it's here these are efficively old stock clearance and won't be around for ever. you can also get the latest one with a teflon coated grid, bag and recipie book from Nauticalia, the online chandler, but they want a lot more money! as some of you gathered I really rate this product - I use it in preference to my large gas BBQ's now too.
