Won't be fishing the Shambles this w/e on such a big tide (I hate dragging a weight), but may well try Dancing Ledge on my way back to Weymoth with Quest II.

Could be in for a blank, but fancy seeing if any early Bream are about.

Those lovely guys at Southern Motor Boats wink.gif have promised me my new toy on Thursday, and my inaugral fishing day will be Saturday (just so long as the snag list doesn't keep me within the harbour !!!).

I too was thinking of Dancing Ledge ... do we have a convoy ? smile.gif

You have no idea how much work has gone into getting your boat ready!!!!

She is currently in the slings having some nice new antifoul and anodes fitted.

Had to gorgeous transducers fitted and electronics cut in yesterday with the wiring taking place later, followed by PDi of the boat (engine done last week), sea trial quick fix of any minor snags and major MAJOR clean tomorrow!

If Martin M (Snag Man), lands you on me when you want to trade up then he can come and do it himself!!!!!

Even I, the "never get his hands dirty" office boy, was polishing your prop and rudder yesterday to bring them back to shiny lovely metal.

The Youngs will be out in force on Sunday out of Weymouth weather permitting - will probably hit the Shambles for a couple of the slacker hours and then head off or down to Lulworth banks

As t'other half is with me I imagin the fishing will be fairly short lived with or without Bream showing.

Does anyone know if it is best to drift or anchor, dancing ledge?

Either way, you would be welcome to tag along Mark

I have some pictures off a charter last year, with some nice bream and a nice undulate form that spot, and the charter boat is definitely at anchor.

What sort of time you think of getting there ? I'll probably be out for some time on Saturday wink.gif

Not sure yet Mark.

Won't be meggar early as the misses needs to make herself look beautiful and she insists on packing enough sandwiches etc for a fortnights holiday.

I'll take a peak at the tide table and see if we can get there just after slack of one of the tides.

Hi Mark

Just realised I am working on Saturday, but off Friday, Sunday, Monday.

Friday, high water at Swanage is about 09:45 which means a comfy start arriving around 10:00ish and fishing the ebb.

This enables me to run back to Weymouth with the tide up my chuff later too!

During last year Burnham return match, one of our boat drifted Dancing ledge and it out fish everyone else.

Sorry for the late response chaps - access to this webpage is now restricted from my work computer - webpages are monitored.... ph34r.gifph34r.gif

Gordon and I will also be out on Saturday - we may also try a launch at Portland? or may stick to town quay - time will be 7.00am whatever.

Weather is looking OK - wind from the East though..
