Anchor Float.

Hi all

Can anybody tell me the procedure for lifting an anchor from the sea bed with an anchor ball? I have seen several boats that have been at anchor; put a ball float on the anchor line and power off lifting the anchor from it holding position.

What size float to anchor size is required?

And how effective is it?

Any help please

Thanks

Keith

There are good details on how to do this on the Anka Yanka website.

Using anchor retreval system

The method is extremely effective and saves all that hauling rope. Just need to ensure that the rope does not get wrapped around the outboard leg as, I have been reliably informed. this is the quickest way of sinking a boat

I'd also be very grateful if someone would be willing to show me this technique, if that would be possible, please. I think I get the general idea (from the link shown) but realise there's a great deal of difference between theory and practice!

Dan (Gnasher) not sure if you'd also be able to help me sort out a ring, please (or tell me what / where I need to get)?

Thanks and regards,

Dave

No problem with you coming out on Maverick. It has been and still is a busy month fishing wise so perhaps we could do it one week end in October? If you let me know which week would suit you best we'll take it from there
